Videk was established in 1978 by our founder and CEO Derek Proops who recognised a growing need for a specialist cabling supplier as the era of the personal and business computer was emerging. As the market evolved, competing formats and different designs began to create demand for cabling, adaptors and accessories to bridge the many developing standards. Videk became known as an expert source of knowledge and as a specialist supplier of cables to the rapidly expanding computer industry.
